Medeco® is a market leader in locks and locking systems for security, safety, and control. The company's customer base includes wholesale and retail security providers, original equipment manufacturers, institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential end-users.

For more than 40 years, Medeco® has led the security industry in innovation and quality, guarding lives and assets at facilities worldwide. Medeco® locks are made with pride in the U.S.A. The manufacturing facility is located in Salem, Virginia and employs approximately 250 people.

Masterkey systems of any are size available. Medeco has pioneered extremely large masterkey systems through our exclusive use of angled cuts on our keys. With one key, facilities can access deadbolts, mortise locks, doors, padlocks, even electronic access control systems, reducing the number of keys carried and tracked by maintenance and security staff. With millions of combinations, Medeco can accommodate even the largest installations. In addition, Medeco eliminates the need to use sectional keys in most systems, increasing the system's overall security.

   1. Medeco® manufactures cylinders, which use keys that must be made on special key cutting machines. These machines must be capable of reproducing the angled cuts and critical tolerances necessary to reproduce a workable key.

   2. Medeco® sells its high quality, precision-machined cylinders and locks only to professional security industries such as locksmith wholesalers and retailers, contract hardware and alarm equipment suppliers. Every Medeco® key blank is marked with its name to identify it as an authorized key blank that will work properly in Medeco products and give long product life.

   3. Medeco® has successfully litigated its right to protect against unauthorized manufacture and distribution of its restricted key blanks.

4.Medeco® offers a variety of eCylinder formats to meet a variety of needs. All Medeco® eCylinder products provide Controlled Access, Accountability, Physical Security, and System Management.
